Zeolite is a natural mineral of volcanogenic sediment origin, penetrated by the finest cavities and channels, giving it the properties of a molecular sieve. These voids are filled with alkaline and alkaline earth metal cations and water molecules that have significant freedom of movement, which gives the zeolite a high ion-exchange ability, the properties of the adsorbent and donor, the ability to absorb and release water, prolong the effect of the substances with which it is mixed, give the soil and living organisms the necessary in items. It is the porous structure and the diverse composition of the ions that determine its qualities, making the zeolite indispensable for use in the chemical, food industry, agriculture, and medicine.

About 120 deposits and manifestations of zeolite-containing rocks have been identified in Russia. Of these, 14 deposits are included in the state balance. The balance reserves of zeolite rocks in Russia amount to 661.9 million tons.

The main deposits of zeolites in the European part of the Russian Federation are the Khotynetsky deposit, the Oryol Region, the Tatarsko-Shatroshanskoye Deposit, Tatarstan, and the Yushanskoye Deposit, Ulyanovsk Region.

At the enterprises of Keramzit LLC, Ulyanovsk and Volga Zeolites, LLC, a technique for modifying natural zeolites were developed and introduced to increase their sorption capacity and ion exchange capacity: thermomechanical and ultrasonic activation. The total ion-exchange (cation-exchange) capacity of natural zeolite is 93.0 mEq / 100 g. Calcium plays the main role in the exchange, it accounts for 86-88%.

The active amino acids (AA) from INAGROSA are of low molecular weight and are well absorbed by modified zeolites. These amino acids have a low molecular weight and size less than 10 angstroms, however, have high biological activity. They easily penetrate into the microscopic activated pores of zeolites and take an active part in the electron-ion processes inside the zeolites. Amino acids obtained by chemical synthesis or enzymatic hydrolysis cannot penetrate into zeolite pores due to their large size and do not interact with zeolites.

Amino acids adsorbed by zeolites represent a new highly ecological bio-fertilizer. This is one of the most powerful nutrients for crops.

At the enterprises of Oryol, Ulyanovsk, Kazan, enrichment of modified zeolites with active amino acids INAGROSA was carried out. All enterprises are equipped with modern high-tech equipment.

The resulting bio-fertilizers were used in the experimental fields of these areas. The experiments were conducted under the guidance of soil scientists and agrochemists with the involvement of highly qualified specialists of enterprises producing bio-fertilizer. Tests with samples obtained in Orel, Ulyanovsk, and Tatarstan pass in Russia in the countries of the Persian Gulf (UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain) and Spain.

The first results of a new bio-fertilizer effect on crop yields in the city of Orel were obtained. All indicators exceeded the expected. The increase in yield of spring wheat was 36% per hectare, and barely 42% per hectare.

Work is currently ongoing. Experiments on winter crops, wheat, rye, soybeans are carried out in Ulyanovsk and Tatarstan.
